3. Green Bay’s defense will give up 175+ rushing yards

Kenny Clark’s COVID-related absence was a big reason why the Packers gave up big yards on the ground against the Ravens last week. Even if he returns to the field on Saturday, Green Bay’s front seven will be unable to stop Cleveland from gashing them on the ground.

Chubb, in particular, is the guy who will give Green Bay fits when the football is placed in his hands. His physical running style is going to be a real problem for the Packers’ outside linebackers. Rashan Gary and Preston Smith are both quality pass rushers, but neither is a great run-stopper at this stage in their respective careers.

Baker Mayfield’s erratic play at the quarterback position will cause the Browns to want to lean on their run game more than normal. That’s a good recipe for success for Cleveland against Green Bay. Grinding the Packers out on the ground will help keep the ball out of Rodgers’ hands.

The end result will see the Browns run wild on the ground against the Green Bay defense. Getting to 175 yards on the ground will require Cleveland to break a pair of 20+ runs, but they have the talent up front to make that happen.
