For the first time in fantasy football history, Week 17 on the NFL schedule is not only meaningful, but it is crucial. Usually, Week 17 is when most leagues re-evaluate what went wrong and what went right. We look ahead to next season and some of us prepare for playoff editions of a fantasy league. However, this season, Week 17 is Championship Week.

With the newly minted 18-game schedule, that pushes everything for fantasy football up a week. This means that most fantasy teams are staring at two teams that still matter. Maybe there are some leagues where you are playing to get your money back for third place. The point is, the number of teams that matter is seriously shortened at this point in the season.

What are some bold predictions for Championship Week in fantasy football?

Some people might not want to get bold in the championship, but the same can be said about the semifinals last week. Imagine if you were sitting with Tee Higgins on your bench? Ignoring his great matchup against a porous Baltimore Ravens team meant you left 43 points on the bench. The same goes for Joe Burrow. Their pride allowed them to keep throwing all game, giving Joe Burrow north of 500 yards.

This week, the matchups tell the story. There are some interesting players who have incredibly juicy matchups. We have recent data and season-long data to help make our decisions. It all comes down to this. Which bold predictions will help you win the week in fantasy football Week 17?
