The Cotton Bowl press box is being crank called by people pretending to be Luke Fickell and ones who don’t have nice things to say about Nick Saban.

Don’t go making phony calls, unless you’ve got the number to the Cotton Bowl press box, then by all means, pretend to be Luke Fickell or have plenty of bad things to say about Nick Saban.

All these sports journalists want to do is cover the Cotton Bowl Classic between the No. 1 Alabama Crimson Tide and the No. 4 Cincinnati Bearcats. Too bad someone has cracked Arlington’s Fort Knox and has turned Jerryworld into something may not AT&T does not want to be associated with. Alabama was dumb by running slants against the Cincinnati secondary, per Fake Luke Fickell.

In an era where cord-cutting reigns supreme, why not cut the cord on this blasted landline?

In a tight ball game entering halftime with so much at stake, there is no time for monkey business. Though Alabama took a 17-3 lead into halftime, many people thought the Crimson Tide were going to cakewalk through this game to the national title bout. Instead, Fickell’s team is only within two scores of doing the impossible yet again. Otherwise, it will be season over for them.

Alabama is two quarters away from getting back to the national championship. If the Crimson Tide were to do so, they would face the winner of the Orange Bowl between the No. 2 Michigan Wolverines and the No. 3 Georgia Bulldogs. Alabama beat Georgia in the SEC Championship to make the College Football Playoff. A potential rematch could be on the horizon in Indianapolis.

If the phone rings in the Cotton Bowl press box, it is best to not pick it up and answer anymore.
