Prior to AEW taping Dynamite and more in Newark, NJ on Wednesday, the company stopped to pay tribute to the great Betty White.

It was a big night for AEW on Wednesday as the episode of Dynamite from the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ marked the first time the show would move to TBS. But ahead of the pre-show taping, the promotion delivered a nice moment to the fans in attendance.

Namely, they took a moment to honor the unmatched life of Betty White.

Before the pre-show taping and the episode of Dynamite got underway, though, the company took time to pay tribute to White, the legendary actress who passed away on New Year’s Eve at 99 years old.

AEW: Betty White tribute steals the show before it ever starts

Of course, the card on the jumbotron is in relation to White’s illustrious run as one of the stars of the TV show Golden Girls and a nod to the program’s theme song.

However, White has a history in the pro wrestling world as well.

The actress hosted WWE Raw back in 2014 and, frankly, was one of the better celebrity hosts that you’ll ever seen, particularly for someone who was not necessarily deeply engrained in the world of the squared circle.

She will be missed in every facet of the entertainment world, so it was truly a touching gesture by AEW to remember Betty White leading into Wednesday’s show.
