The Green Bay Packers are dealing with some injuries to important players heading into the Divisional Round against the San Francisco 49ers.

The Green Bay Packers had the best record in the entire NFL this season, earning themselves the top seed in the NFC and a bye in the Wild Card Round. Even with the week off, the Packers are still dealing with injuries to some important players on offense.

Packers head coach Matt LaFleur revealed that left tackle David Bakhtiari is questionable and wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling is doubtful for the team’s Divisional Round game against the San Francisco 49ers. Bakhtiari is dealing with a knee injury, while Valdes-Scantling has a back issue.

Both Bakhtiari and Valdes-Scantling did not participate in practice on Thursday, Jan. 20.

Bakhtiari had just made his season debut in Green Bay’s Week 18 game against the Detroit Lions. He suffered a torn ACL late last season, and had been sidelined until his return. Back in November, Bakhtiari had his surgically repaired knee cleaned up in a procedure.

As for Valdes-Scantling, he picked up his back injury in the first quarter of Green Bay’s regular-season finale against Detroit. He did participate in practice back on Tuesday, Jan. 18, but has sat out ever since.

Valdes-Scantling played in 11 games this season, where he caught 26-of-55 targets for 430 yards and three touchdowns.

The Packers are set to take on a 49ers team that pulled off a surprise victory on the road over the No. 3 Dallas Cowboys in the Wild Card Round. Kickoff for the Divisional Round matchup will take place on Saturday, Jan. 22, at 8:15 p.m. ET live from Lambeau Field.
