Antonio Brown puts Steelers feud aside, congratulates Ben Roethlisberger
By Mark Powell
Antonio Brown, the former favorite target of Ben Roethlisberger, put his feud with the Steelers behind him to congratulate his longtime QB.
Brown’s untimely exit in Pittsburgh — and his subsequent trashing of the organization and Roethlisberger — is a thing of the past, at least for now. AB had Roethlisberger’s ear in arguably his best years, making them the top quarterback-wide receiver duo in all of professional football.
Roethlisberger and Brown’s relationship took a turn for the worse in 2018, when Big Ben criticized AB publicly. The future Hall-of-Fame quarterback has gone on the record that he regrets his actions, claiming it ruined their relationship.
Brown clapped back on Twitter days later. “Never friends just had to get my ends…….shut up already,” he said.
Years have gone by since, with Brown inevitably apologizing to Roethlisberger via Instagram, and we can only assume in text message or in person.
"“Mostly you a little bit of me ! Yee yee !! I never realized how good I had it, got caught up in my emotion with everyone coming after me I really apologize for my actions sincerely man ! It’s never been another connection like what we done in the past decade. I appreciate you. Sincerely AB”"
Steelers: Antonio Brown congratulates Ben Roethlisberger
It’s great to see these two on speaking terms again, as Brown was inarguably the best receiver Roethlisberger played with during his 18-year career. Brown realized how great he had it after leaving Pittsburgh, as Roethlisberger prioritized him in the offense.
On Thursday, Brown congratulated Roethlisberger on a successful career.
Brown is a free agent after his release by the Buccaneers, and is currently in some legal drama. However, it’s unclear if he’ll get another shot in the NFL considering how things ended with Tom Brady in Tampa Bay.
