When the Cincinnati Bengals take on the Los Angeles Rams in Super Bowl 56, you have a great opportunity to make some money, no matter who you are rooting for.
For the NFC champion Rams, this will be a home game for them. They become the second team to play in a Super Bowl in their own building, joining the 2020 Tampa Bay Buccaneers who won Super Bowl 55 last year. As for the Bengals, they must be road warriors if they want to win the Lombardi Trophy for the first time in franchise history. No matter who you like, you can make some money.

Not only are you getting +105 on the Bengals to score the longest field goal of the game, but you are essentially betting on Cincinnati rookie kicker Evan McPherson to be Money Mac. He also has a chance to break an all-time postseason field goal record set by Adam Vinatieri.
Because McPherson has been money from distance this postseason, you can count on him to make a 50-yarder or two if need be. As for his counterpart in Matt Gay of the Rams, the guy was short on a 40-yarder three weeks ago at Tampa Bay. While this game will be at home for Gay, McPherson has made all of his big kicks outdoors in colder climates. This gives him a slight edge.
Ultimately, what this really comes down to is where can you make the most money. McPherson being +105 is better than Gay at -130. Since neither kicker is unequivocally better than the other, take McPherson to make a 50-yarder or so on his quest to break Vinatieri’s all-time record. To be fair, he probably has to make a big kick or two if the Bengals want to upset the Rams on Sunday.
