The 2022 Winter Olympics men’s figure skating short program commences on Feb. 8, and there are several ways to watch the event live.

After Team USA struck silver in the figure skating team event on Saturday, the team received saddening news: 21-year-old skating star Vincent Zhou tested positive for COVID-19 and has withdrawn himself from the men’s short program event on Feb. 8.

Still, the United States will be represented by Nathan Chen, Zachary Donohue, Jean-Luc Baker, Evan Bates, Jason Brown, Brandon Frazier, and Timothy Leduc.

The event will showcase a showdown between the United States’ Nathan Chen and Japan’s Yuzuru Hanyu. Chen has won the last three world championships, while Hanyu has won the last two Olympic gold medals.

Chen enters the anticipated rematch with an expected advantage, as he has bested Yuzuru in the last three times they’ve competed since the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympics. However, Yuzuru plans to claim gold over Chen with a quadruple axel, which has never landed in a competition.

Whoever comes out the winner, everyone tuning in will have struck gold with a historic Olympic match to remember. Here are the best ways to watch Chen and Yuzuru battle for gold in the figure skating men’s short program.
