Odell Beckham Jr. goes to Twitter after the Los Angeles Rams won Super Bowl 56.

Though he did not get to play in the second half of Super Bowl 56, it worked out for Odell Beckham Jr. and the Los Angeles Rams in the end.

Beckham scored the first touchdown in the game for the hometown Rams. While he was having a great game for Los Angeles, it was cut short right before halftime. Beckham went down with a non-contact injury on his knee. He had to be helped off the field and was later removed from the game entirely. Fate would have it, the Rams would come out on top and win this one, 23-20.

Beckham would tweet out after the game in all caps “THIS WAS EXACTLY GODS PLAN.”

It certainly had been a journey for the star wide receiver. He first rose to prominence with his unforgettable catch with the New York Giants. After games of proposing to kicking nets and photo shoots on boats down in Miami, things ended for Beckham in the Big Apple. He would be traded to the Cleveland Browns where he was simply not the same star player he had been with the Giants.

After an acrimonious breakup with the Browns, Beckham found himself on a title-contending team in the City of Angels. Though he was not the star receiver on this year’s Rams squad, he helped set the tone for quarterback Matthew Stafford and Super Bowl 56 MVP Cooper Kupp to take over in the final minutes. Even with an injured knee, Beckham is all smiles and tears now.

This Super Bowl 56 victory does a ton of good for the legacy of Beckham in the NFL pantheon.
