The Golden State Warriors are getting a key contributor back as Draymond Green is gearing up to make his return in the coming days.

It looks like the Golden State Warriors are getting some great news heading into the final stretch of the season.

Draymond Green, who has been out with an injury since early January, is apparently getting ready to make his return for the Warriors. On the Draymond Green Show, (which is his own show, by the way), Green announced that he is coming back sooner rather than later.

Green will apparently be ready to play on Monday, March 14.

And of course, Green sure seems pretty excited to be able to return.

Draymond Green injury update: Golden State Warriors get great news on Green’s injury

This is huge news for the Warriors.

While Green isn’t necessarily the greatest player out there and hasn’t always had a huge impact on offense, he’s versatile and is pretty valuable on defense. As the Warriors get ready to make a run in the playoffs, it’s definitely important for them to get as close to full strength as possible.

Getting Green back could have a significant impact on the Warriors’ chances to win a championship this season.

Golden State has been without him since January. Right now, the Warriors hold on to the second seed in the Western Conference. If Green is back to full health right before the playoffs start, he can help play an important role for an already really good team.

In the 34 games that he has been able to play this season, Green averaged 7.9 points per game, 7.6 rebounds per game, and 7.4 assists per game.
