Tom Brady is back! The legendary quarterback has announced that he is coming out of retirement for another season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Well, that retirement didn’t last very long.

Tom Brady is officially back as he has made the choice to unretire and return to the NFL for a 23rd season. The whole situation seems a little absurd, but Brady is officially back and will be looking to terrorize some defensive backs and try to win yet another Super Bowl this season.

Brady took to Twitter to announce his return and he is officially set to come back this coming season.

With this massive and monumental decision, Brady announced that he’d be heading back to Tampa Bay, meaning the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have very suddenly answered every single quarterback question that popped up following his initial retirement announcement.

Tom Brady unretires: NFL media reacts to Tom Brady returning to Tampa Bay Buccaneers

This news is big and meme-able and just incredibly bizarre. While it’s not all that shocking that Brady would return to football, it’s a little surprising that he very quickly decided to change his mind and make a comeback.

This is obviously huge from the perspective of Tampa Bay’s quarterback situation, but this sort of decision has an impact that goes far beyond just what’s happening with the Buccaneers quarterback.

Looking at the rest of the Buccaneers roster, there are a number of free agents that might be willing to sign back for another season in Tampa Bay. It could also have an impact on getting other free agents to make a move to the Buccaneers rather than another team.

Of course, it’s also worth noting that the whole “how will other teams respond to this news” sort of aspect could be real intriguing as well.

Brady just lit the NFL media world on fire with his announcement. Expect him to dominate headlines for the foreseeable future.
