Falcons tight end Kyle Pitts was apparently disappointed to find out Deshaun Watson is heading to the Browns instead of Atlanta.

Kyle Pitts got Falcons fans excited when he tweeted about things getting “scary” in Atlanta on Thursday. Naturally, everyone jumped to the conclusion he was talking about Deshaun Watson.

Either he wasn’t, as he claimed later, or he really thought Watson was going to end up with the Falcons.

He wasn’t the only one. The momentum was definitely on Atlanta’s side until it wasn’t. The Browns managed to turn their fate around and nab Watson instead, leaving the Falcons disappointed.

After news broke, Pitts appeared to comment on the turn of events with a fitting one-word tweet.

“Curveball ..” Pitts wrote.

Curveball, indeed. The Falcons will have to figure out their future at quarterback after essentially giving up on Matt Ryan.

Pitts wasn’t alone in tweeting disappointment over Watson. Panthers wide receiver Robby Anderson also commented on Carolina missing out.

“Yeah we ain’t get Watson unfortunately but we can still get dat boy @Mathieu_Era @Panthers,” Anderson tweeted.

The Panthers are also in a tenuous quarterback situation with low confidence in Sam Darnold and P.J. Walker.

Pitts was the No. 4 overall selection in the 2021 NFL Draft. He paid off immediately by catching 68 passes for 1,026 yards and making the Pro Bowl.

Whoever quarterbacks the Falcons in 2022, they’ll have one of the best young tight ends in the game to target. It’s just going to take some more time to figure out who that will be.

Next. Saints QB option after missing on Watson is obvious. dark
