Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford signed a four-year contract extension with the franchise, as he hopes to end his career in Hollywood.

Stafford and the Rams had been talking extension all offseason, and they finally got the numbers right. Los Angeles acquired the star quarterback from the Detroit Lions last offseason for a package that included two first-round picks.

In his first year as a Ram, he led Los Angeles to the Super Bowl behind a stellar postseason run. Now, the Rams hope to run it back with their quarterback in tow long-term. Stafford becomes just the latest signal-caller to earn a ludicrous contract this offseason.

Per ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Stafford finalized a four-year, $160 million contract extension that will pay him $135 million in guaranteed money. He hopes to finish his career as a Ram.

Via a press release, the Rams led it be known signing Stafford to a contract extension was at the top of their list of priorities this offseason:

"“Rams general manager Les Snead and head coach Sean McVay during the week of the NFL Scouting Combine both said getting a new deal done for Stafford was a high priority this offseason. Now they can cross it off their list.”"

Stafford has a net worth north of $80 million, though that number will surely change thanks to his new contract.

At the Rams Super Bowl parade, Stafford caught some heat for not helping a team photographer who fell off the stage, breaking her back in the process.

“Long story short, we followed up with her. The moment we got in the car, Matthew actually looked at me and said, ‘Hey, will you contact the Rams, ask how she’s doing?’ Did that, they’re like, ‘We think she’s going to be OK.’ We sent her flowers. Next day we wake up, (she’s) not OK,” Kelly Stafford explained. “Matthew actually texted her himself.”

The Rams and Stafford agreed to pay the photographer’s medical bills.
