Tony Hawk responded to the Wesley Snipes meme at the Oscars.

While everyone was focused on the Will Smith/Chris Rock drama a wonderful story slipped through the cracks.

Wesley Snipes did not assassinate Tony Hawk.

Ok, so you might be confused. We’ll break it down for you.

In October 2018, Hawk replied to a meme of Snipes holding a gun with the caption, “When the race war is happening and I gotta kill Tony Hawk.”

Hawk wrote “I appreciate the hesitation though,” and the fans ate it up.

Now, FOUR YEARS LATER, Hawk has brought the joke back around with an Oscars night post.

“I was spared. Life is good,” he tweeted alongside a photo of the two of them together.

Hawk just proved he’s the winner of the Oscars and it’s not even close.
