Manchester City and Liverpool treated English Premier League fans to an incredible 2-2 draw on Sunday at the Etihad.

Two of the best clubs in the world are no question Manchester City and Liverpool, with the two English Premier League giants facing off on Sunday with title hopes on the line. In the end, things finished 2-2, and MCFC remains with its one point lead on the Reds.

At the top of the table, Manchester City is No. 1 with 74 points, while Liverpool is right behind them at 73. This is a two-team race for the title and with seven games left, things really could go either way here.

Manchester City vs. Liverpool player ratings

Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne: De Bruyne was no question the player of the match for City. He opened the scoring with a deflected goal and he should have had an assist at the end of the action, but Riyad Mahrez choked with his left-footed attempt. De Bruyne gets a 9 out of 10.

Manchester City winger Riyad Mahrez: Fans are incredibly upset with Mahrez and understandably so. He could have won things in stoppage time thanks to the brilliant pass from De Bruyne, but he skied his shot. Mahrez looked sharp at times, but that miss to win it will haunt him. He gets a 4 out of 10.

Liverpool winger Mo Salah: Salah didn’t score in this contest, but his assist for Sadio Mane’s game-tying goal in the second half was one to remember. Salah made plenty of noise in the box too, earning him an 8 out of 10.

Liverpool striker Diogo Jota: Jota continued his outstanding play for LFC against Man City, tying the game up shortly after City took the lead. Jota always seems to be at the right place at the right time for Jurgen Klopp. He gets a 7 out of 10.
