Deebo Samuel has informed the San Francisco 49ers that he wants to be traded and teams are lining up to land him.

From the moment it was revealed by ESPN’s Jeff Darlington that Deebo Samuel wants to leave the San Francisco 49ers, fans have been dreaming of the speedster suiting up for their team. Well, perhaps no one even thought of Samuel heading to Houston or New York.

According to The Athletic’s Tim Kawakami, both the Jets and Texans have shown early interest. Despite nothing getting serious just yet, Houston seems to be the team most ready to make a splash.

The Jets and Texans are both eyeing a trade for Deebo Samuel

How would Samuel feel about going to either team? Both the Jets and Texans are among the worst franchises in the game right now and the teams’ supporters have suffered for a long time. The future looks bright for San Francisco with Trey Lance set to take over the offense, which could incline Samuel to stick around.

However, it looks like his relationship with the front office has reached a low point, leading to him wanting to suit up for a new squad. With the Texans, they have two first-round picks in the 2022 NFL Draft, with the No. 13 selection potentially being a sexy option for the 49ers.

That may not be enough to get Samuel, though, as he’s one of the top offensive weapons out there. More teams figure to get involved as well, with the Packers certainly being an organization to watch. After trading Davante Adams to the Raiders, Green Bay is in desperate need of a No. 1 receiver for Aaron Rodgers. Samuel could be that guy to help this offense scare people again.
