Chicago White Sox shortstop Tim Anderson was caught on camera flipping off Cleveland Guardians fans during a frustrating game.

The first game of Wednesday’s doubleheader between the White Sox and Guardians was a nightmare for Tim Anderson.

Chicago’s shortstop committed three errors in the first two innings as Cleveland jumped out to a 10-0 lead.

In the midst of the frustration, Anderson had a message for Guardians fans, and it wasn’t very nice.

Anderson flipped fans in Cleveland the bird, though it’s not clear if he was responding to anything in particular or just the general direction of the game.

The shortstop opened the bottom of the first inning with a throwing error that put Myles Straw on base. Straw went on to score the first run of the game.

Things only got worse in the second inning. Anderson committed another throwing error to start the inning. Gabriel Arias, who took first because of the error, went on to start an onslaught of runs for the Guardians. It was compounded later in the inning with another Anderson error.

It just wasn’t a good start to the day for Chicago and it’s clear that got to Anderson, who went on to drive in a score with a double, but by then it was too late. The Guardians won, 11-1.

The second half of the doubleheader didn’t feature Anderson in the lineup.
