Pick Analysis. AFC. West. Kansas City Chiefs. 2. player. 124. Scouting Report

Chiefs Kingdom is waiting to hear how the team will replace The Honey Badger

While the Kansas City Chiefs are coming off a strong 2022 NFL Draft, Chiefs Kingdom is still waiting for their beloved team to replace The Honey Badger. Though Tyrann Mathieu is one of those irreplaceable type of defensive stalwarts, the Chiefs would certainly welcome a pro’s pro like Bradberry into the mix. With all the great quarterbacks in the division, the Chiefs need some help.

Spending top-dollar on a seventh-year cornerback the Giants did not even want seems a bit much, but it is no longer a foregone conclusion the Chiefs win the AFC West for the umpteenth year in a row. Frankly, they should get the benefit of the doubt for the time being, but their inconsistent defense now has to face Derek Carr, Justin Herbert and Russell Wilson six times every season.

Though there is a need for a player of Bradberry’s caliber in the back-end of their defense, the Chiefs are poised to be outbid for his services. Kansas City may pull back a bit this season, but that may have more to do with the rest of the AFC catching up with this Arrowhead juggernaut more than anything to their fault. If the Chiefs do sign Bradberry, some fans will be able to sleep easier.

Signing Bradberry would be a way to ensure Chiefs Kingdom their secondary will not be awful.
