Game of the Week: Dallas Cowboys at Green Bay Packers

This was one of the early-announcement games, and for good reason. The Packers and Cowboys are two of the biggest national draws in the sport, and Green Bay fans are going to be thrilled to see Mike McCarthy make his return to Lambeau Field.

Sometimes, the NFL gets it wrong by playing a real marquee game between a pair of top-10 teams in the first couple of weeks. This is a perfect time, with the weather beginning to get nasty in Green Bay, but not enough to completely neutralize the offensive talent on the field.

The Packers come into the season as NFC North favorites, but not without some concern. The defense looks terrific, but the offense is essentially Aaron Rodgers, a very good running game and no receivers in their primes with any proven ability.

For Dallas, it’s an offense with Dak Prescott at the controls, and the duo of CeeDee Lamb and Michael Gallup on the outside. The defense should also be tough with Trevon Diggs on the back end, while Demarcus Lawrence and Micah Parsons force the issue up front. However, the losses of edge rusher Randy Gregory and receiver Amari Cooper must be accounted for.

Should be a fun one up in Lambeau.
