The Philadelphia Eagles face a lot of solid teams, but these five games are must-win situations.

After finishing 9-8 in 2021, the Eagles are looking to improve in and outside the division. Losing to Tampa Bay in the Wild Card game 15-31 wasn’t a great look, so this offseason has been about finding the right players and building a more powerful defense.

Picking up Jordan Davis and Nakobe Dean will improve the Eagles’ front seven and help them put more pressure on opponents’ quarterbacks. While everyone gets excited about the offense, this defense added some studs to the roster, and they will be stout.

That journey began in Las Vegas as the Eagles had an A+ 2022 NFL Draft class where they picked up some elite defenders and more offensive playmakers for starting quarterback Jalen Hurts to work with. Now, it’s time to build relationships and build something great.

However, the expectations grow by the year, and this 2022 squad is the one that could finally meet them.

That offense is lethal. Picking up A.J. Brown and signing him with a contract extension was huge. Hurts also have Quez Watkins, DeVonta Smith Dallas Goedert as three more receiving threats. Not to mention Miles Sanders at running back is someone destined for a great year.

Looking at the teams Philadelphia plays in 2022, the home and away schedule seems to match up pretty evenly in terms of toughness. However, there are some games that the Eagles need to win.

The whole schedule isn’t fully released yet, but one game is already set in place as the Eagles will take on the Vikings on Sept. 19 for a Monday night doubleheader. That game is a big one for the Eagles but isn’t a must-win one.

In 2022, the emphasis will be on building off the 3-3 division record and turning that into a winning one. Here are the five games the Eagles must win in 2022 to improve off of 2021.
