Scottie Scheffler was the epitome of some big dad energy in the week following the Masters.

Scottie Scheffler can’t drive 55 when he is clearly 25 going on 65 in his thriving, old soul life.

Cranking some Van Hagar on cassette while sitting is his high school beater parked in the driveway, golf’s latest phenom was thinking about to most effectively use his time while venturing into every aisle at Home Depot. Nothing says Saturday afternoons when you are not working like getting in the yard and busting out some power tools! This is how you live your life as a champion.

I wish I was kidding, but Scheffler really did lace up his white New Balances with orthopedic socks and all to go to Home Depot to get ready to get ready to clean the backyard for four straight days.

Not all heroes wear capes, unless they are Batdad. While Scheffler is not getting ejected from the stands at a youth baseball game anytime soon, you better believe he will yell at the neighborhood kids for walking across his lawn. As he sits back in his lawn chair and marvels at what he just did in the yard, he will give the side-eye to anyone and everyone who approaches his most sacred grill.

Not to say it is 100 percent time to give Dr. Rick a call for a house check on ole Scottie, but when Scottie doesn’t know, Scottie doesn’t know. It is not a mater of if, but when, he will start to print out the internet and carefully place it into his filing cabinet. In between afternoons of hoarding plastic grocery bags, he will go to the mall and buy the exact same shirt he is already wearing.

Admittedly, none of this is going to matter until Scheffler decides he wants to leave the PGA Championship at 5:00 p.m. CT on Sunday afternoon at Southern Hills, you know, to beat traffic. Don’t worry, he has ALL the maps of Tulsa printed out on MapQuest for him to navigate the Oklahoman metropolis in his five-star safety-rated minivan. Have you seen the TV’s in the back?!

The best time to ask Scheffler for an autograph is before he orders his blue plate special at 4:00.
