Breaking down the PGA Championship payout for the 2022 tournament at Southern Hills with how much prize money each player will earn.

If golf fans were looking for the 2022 PGA Championship at Southern Hills to be a difficult test, they got their wish. With a bear of a setup, some strong winds and cold temperatures in the mix, and the always-present pressure of a major championship, the players were tested throughout the week in Tulsa.

Coming into Sunday, though, Mito Pereira, yet to win on the PGA Tour, was looking in prime position to close out the win with a three-stroke lead. However, he was quickly drawn back to the pack while other challengers like Will Zalatoris, Cameron Young, Matt Fitzpatrick and even a surging Justin Thomas were trying to challenge him.

All of the players in the field were playing for their share of the big-time $15 million purse for the vent. With the winner getting a whopping $2.7 million of the PGA Championship payout, though, it’s fair to look at the rest of the field to see what each player will get as their share of the prize money.
