Los Angeles Angels star Mike Trout hit a home run off of his one-year-old son Beckham at their home.

Baseball is a great thing for a parent and their child to bond over. But when the parent is a professional baseball player, they will probably show no mercy when playing a game with their child.

Los Angeles Angels star Mike Trout decided to practice his swing because, as he put it, he has not gotten a lot of hits lately. So, he grabbed a toy bat and asked his one-year-old son Beckham to throw him a pitch. The toddler did so, and Trout launched a massive hit in the family home.

To make things even more savage, Trout flipped the bat right in front of his son.

This was a wholesome moment, as Beckham told his dad to run the bases. That, and he grabbed the bat and said “Now Beckham do it.” Absolutely adorable.

This video was posted early Saturday morning ahead of the Angels’ home game against the Toronto Blue Jays.

Through 42 games this season (prior to the May 28 Blue Jays game), Trout is slashing .309/.411/.651 while recording 12 home runs, 26 RBI, 35 runs scored and 46 hits.

Trout wanted to practice his swing, and he did so at the expense of his son, who did not seem phased about giving up a home run.
