Two new fights booked for Bellator 290: Ryan Bader vs. Fedor Emelianenko 2.

Two new exciting fights have been added to the Bellator 290: Ryan Bader vs. Fedor Emelianenko 2 fight card, which takes place on Feb. 4, 2023. The card is headlined by Emelianenko’s retirement fight against Bader, who Emelianenko requested as his final opponent.

The new fight announced are:

  • Chris Gonzalez vs. Max Rohskopf
  • Jornel Lugo vs. Jaylon Bates

Chris Gonzalez vs. Max Rohskopf will take place in the 155-pound division. Gonzalez is coming off a loss to current Bellator lightweight champion Usman Nurmagomedov who he faced in July 2022. He was previously scheduled to make his comeback against Shamil Nikaev but the fight was canceled.

Rohskopf will be making his Bellator debut and hasn’t fought since October 2021. He was previously scheduled to fight Erick Sánchez twice under the Cage Warriors banner but neither fight came to fruition. He was then scheduled to fight Mike Hamel for Bellator but he wasn’t medically cleared to compete, so the fight was scrapped.

Jornel Lugo vs. Jaylon Bates was rebooked for the event after being scrapped from Bellator 288 after Bates withdrew. They will fight in the bantamweight division.
