DWCS Week 6: Yusaka Kinoshita vs. Jose Henrique results and UFC contract winners.
Dana White’s Contender Series has been on a roll. 19 contracts have been given out this year, so far. Last week all five winners took home UFC contracts. Six fighters are looking to keep their undefeated records perfect this week, will it be a third straight week of five contract winners?
Kicking off this week is Tristar Gym’s Alex Morgan (11-4), who is the Samourai MMA featherweight champion against undefeated Blake Bilder (6-0-1), the current CFFC featherweight champion. Morgan has won four out of his last five fights while Bilder has finished his last three fights.
In a women’s strawweight bout, Russian Viktoriya Dudakova (5-0) faces Maria Silva (8-0), who competed on DWCS last year but didn’t receive a contract. Dudakova has finished in all five wins and looks to keep her record perfect against the undefeated Silva, who is looking for redemption.
In the featured bout, LFA vet Rodrigo Lidio (12-2), who has finished in all 12 wins, looks to impress Dana White against FEN lightweight champion Mateusz Rebecki (15-1). Poland’s Rebecki hasn’t lost since 2014 and has 13 finishes in 15 wins.
In the co-main event, two middleweight fighters try to take each other’s 0. Matej Penaz (6-0) is a former muay Thai champion and Glory kickboxing vet. Penaz hasn’t lost since making the transition to MMA in 2020, racking up five finishes in six wins. Penaz faces Sedriques Dumas (6-0), who also has five finishes in six wins.
In the welterweight main event, Japan’s Yusaku Kinoshita (5-1) faces Nova Uniao’s Jose Henrique (5-0). Kinoshita has finished all of his wins while the undefeated LFA vet Henrique is looking to take his record to 6-0.
