Cleveland Browns star defensive lineman Myles Garrett was involved in a single car crash on Monday after leaving practice.

Cleveland Browns defensive lineman Myles Garrett was involved in a single car accident on Monday afternoon after leaving the team’s facility, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, via Camryn Justice News 5 Cleveland. Garrett and a female passenger suffered minor and non-life threatening injuries, and were treated at a nearby hospital.

Garrett crashed his 2021 Porsche near Wadsworth, where it flipped several times after going off the right side of the road, the Ohio State Highway Patrol told News 5 Cleveland. The Highway Patrol revealed that neither alcohol or drugs were factors in the crash. Both Garrett and the passenger were wearing seatbelts.

The Browns released a statement confirming Garrett’s car accident, saying that they are “in the process of gathering more information.”

Garrett played in the team’s Week 3 game against the Pittsburgh Steelers, where he two total tackles in the team’s 29-17 win that helped the team go 2-1 to start the campaign.

This season, Garrett recorded seven combined tackles, five quarterback hits, four tackles for loss, three sacks, and one forced fumble through the first three games of the season.

The Browns are scheduled to play the Atlanta Falcons this Sunday, Oct. 2.

With the damage seen to the vehicle, both Garrett and the female passenger are lucky that their injuries are reportedly non-life-threatening.

Update: Garrett’s agent, Nicole Lynn, released a statement on Twitter, saying that the defensive lineman has been “alert and responsive” as they wait to learn the extent of his injuries.

Lynn told Cleveland.com’s Mary Kay Cabot that “nothing is broken,” but that Garrett was undergoing further tests.
