4. Micah Parsons will notch 5+ quarterback pressures

The Cowboys’ defense did an outstanding job of terrorizing Daniel Jones last week, but one statistical anomaly from the win was that Micah Parsons had his quietest game as a pro. The Giants held him to just one total tackle and zero sacks in the victory.

Washington won’t be so lucky. Dallas’ defensive staff is going to turn Parsons loose in an effort to force Carson Wentz into mistakes. That’s the blueprint every week for the Cowboys and the Commanders represent a perfect opportunity to execute that plan to perfection.

Washington will be guilty of overrating DeMarcus Lawrence in this contest. The wily veteran got three sacks on Jones last week but Parsons is clearly the superior pass rusher at this point in their respective careers.

That’s why Parsons is going to get back to his game on Sunday. Expect the former Penn State star to notch at least five quarterback pressures. Wentz might get rid of the ball too quickly for him to garner the sack he really craves, but Parsons will be the defensive star this week for the Cowboys.
