2. Trades the Lakers need to make with Anthony Davis out: Mo Bamba

While a trade for Hield won’t help fix the gaping hole left by Davis, another move with a team out East could help alleviate that pain. The Orlando Magic have an embarrassment of riches when it comes to their frontcourt, especially now that Bol Bol is finally breaking out.

Along with Bol, of course, the Magic have Wendell Carter Jr. and Mo Bamba. The latter of the two could be on the block.

Yahoo Sports’ Jake Fischer recently wrote that Bamba could be the Magic’s biggest trade chip and a huge asset for a team like the Lakers, specifically, to acquire before the deadline.

Bamba could be a big asset in the Lakers’ frontcourt. He’s another big man who has a developed jump shot and can even shoot the 3-ball. On the season, Bamba is averaging 8.2 points, 5.4 rebounds 0.9 blocks in 19 minutes of play. He’s shooting 50 percent from the field, including 38.7 percent from deep.

In Anthony, the Lakers get a young point guard who could potentially help out the rotation when needed, and fill the place of Beverley on the roster. Once again, we see the Lakers giving up that second-rounder in 2023, too, that comes from Chicago. If the Bulls continue to spiral, then that selection could be pretty valuable for the Magic.
