Packers troll Vikings, Kirk Cousins with epic music choice during NFC North beatdown

The Green Bay Packers trolled the Minnesota Vikings after a Kirk Cousins interception in the best way — with the Lambeau Field music selection.

Green Bay won in all three facets of their game against the Vikings — special teams, offense and defense — as they scored on a kick return, interception return and several offensive touchdowns.

Sunday afternoon was a beatdown of epic proportions, and a reminder that these two teams are headed in opposite directions. Aaron Rodgers had less than 100 yards passing in the first half and it didn’t even matter, as Green Bay’s defense shut down Kirk Cousins and Justin Jefferson.

The second half wasn’t much different, despite Kevin O’Connell claiming that the scoreline was “0-0” at the half. Cousins threw multiple second-half interceptions, trying to force the ball into tight windows. All three Packers safeties recorded a pick of the Minnesota QB.

In the aftermath of Cousins third interception, the Lambeau Field DJ had some fun at the Vikings expense.

Nothing like some Foo Fighters to set the mood.

What went wrong for the Vikings on Sunday?

The question is what didn’t go wrong for Minnesota. The special teams was abysmal, Rodgers carved up the Vikings defense at times, and Justin Jefferson never got off the ground.

Jefferson showed plenty of frustration throughout the game. Jaire Alexander talked plenty of smack before the matchup, and then did Jefferson’s signature dance, ‘The Griddy’, in his face after a pass breakup. This led to Jefferson tossing his helmet on multiple occasions. He almost hit the official once, and was lucky not to be tossed from the game.

Jefferson let himself be a distraction, which made a bad day even worse.

Just how good are the Packers?

Much of Green Bay’s success on Sunday had as much to do with the Vikings inefficiencies in all facets of the game. Nonetheless, the Packers are on fire, and with Aaron Rodgers at the helm they are a scary team to face. No. 12 could use some more output from his young receiving corps come playoff time if they’re going to pull off an upset or two.

The Packers aren’t in yet, of course. They must beat the Detroit Lions at home next week to secure a postseason spot.
