There is still one week of fantasy football action left for some leagues. Here are five pickups that could be title-winners in Week 18.

Most fantasy football leagues are over and done with since the traditional end of the fantasy season has come in Week 17. There are, however, some crazy leagues that decide to ignore conventional wisdom and allow Week 18 to decide their championships.

While we’ve gone on record in this space about how this approach is ill-advised considering teams may not go all out if they’re out of the playoff hunt, we will still help you find some players who could help you win that Week 18 title. All rostered percentages referenced are based on Yahoo! leagues.

5. Top Fantasy Football Pickups For Week 18 – Miami Dolphins D/ST

The panic is continuing in Miami as the Dolphins are on the verge of one of the worst collapses in recent memory. A loss to New England in Week 17 means the Dolphins have dropped five games in a row to fall from an 8-3 playoff lock to an 8-8 team that needs help to snap its six-year playoff drought.

The good news for Miami is that they have a gift coming to them in the form of the broken New York Jets offense. The Jets haven’t scored a touchdown in eight quarters and have had tremendous difficulty moving the football regardless of who’s under center, making this the matchup to exploit for the Dolphins defense.

There was a bit of movement with Miami’s defense on the wire this week as they are rostered in 24 percent of leagues. That figure should shoot much higher this week as they are poised to feast on a Jets team that may not give much of an effort now that New York has been eliminated from postseason contention.
