The Raiders will want to put their 2022 season behind them quickly. Now that it’s officially over, the focus can turn to free agent reinforcements.

The 2022 season in Las Vegas was one to forget. The team set records for second-half meltdowns as Josh McDaniels struggled in his first campaign in charge. Derek Carr’s relationship with the franchise deteriorated to the point he was benched. And all the while opposing fans made Allegiant Stadium feel like home.

The end result? A 6-11 record. No playoffs. No quarterback. Major questions.

The season finished with a 31-13 loss to the Chiefs, who found new and inventive ways to punk Las Vegas.

What can the Raiders do in free agency to turn things around quickly?

QB Tom Brady

Josh McDaniels was Tom Brady’s offensive coordinator in New England. The connection to the future Hall of Fame QB has been clear since McDaniels was hired.

Now Las Vegas needs to make it happen.

There are other free agent quarterbacks the Raiders could call, like Jimmy Garoppolo, but no quarterback bar Lamar Jackson would move the needle quite like Brady.

He’s a winner, plain and simple. If he does decide to keep his career going for another year or two, he won’t be playing for second place. He’d demand Super Bowl contention, and that’s just what the Raiders need.
