Ranking NFL quarterbacks based on 2022: 14. Tom Brady, Buccaneers

It ain’t over just yet for Tom Brady and the Buccaneers. Playoff-bound once again, but barely, the Bucs seem to be hanging on by a thread.

Brady finished the regular season throwing for a whopping 4,694 yards, but a ho-hum 25 touchdowns and nine interceptions.

Brady may have been near the top of the league in passing yards, but he definitely showed his age this season, finally. We have been waiting for this day for quite some time, and it seems as though it’s peeked its head.

One huge example of Brady looking “off” this year was his inability to regularly get the football to wide receiver Mike Evans. Several routine plays ended as incompletions because Brady just couldn’t get the ball to him. It’s as simple as that.

Brady can scream as much as he wants at his teammates, but the fact of the matter is, he finally looked his age this year. Now, he’s still in the top half of quarterbacks and he’s obviously someone you will look out for in any postseason. But, Brady appears to finally have dipped below the “elite” status.
