The Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl parade was a hot mess in the best of ways. Rookie Jaylen Watson had a tough time holding his liquor.

I kid, I kid.

Watson was a seventh-round pick last season and played a major role in the revamped Kansas City secondary. He had an interception plus a defensive touchdown, and was a surprisingly stable force for a rookie.

Watson earned the right to party hard at Kansas City’s Super Bowl parade, but he may have gone a little too hard. The Wazzu product had to be wheeled away from the parade via police escort. Yes, I’m serious.

Chiefs: Jaylen Watson was hardly alone

Even Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes chugged a Coors Light during the parade, and went to a Kansas City night club after the fact with teammate Travis Kelce.

While Kansas City has been playing the disrespect card a ton since their second Super Bowl win of the era, they’ve also shown plenty of respect to their opponent, namely Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts.

"“If there were any doubters left there shouldn’t be now,” Mahomes said, h/t ProFootballTalk. “The way he stepped on this stage, and ran, threw the ball, whatever it took for his team to win. I mean, that was a special performance. I don’t want it to get lost in the loss that they had. I mean, even whenever we got all the momentum in that game, and we went up eight points in the fourth quarter, for him to respond and move his team down the football field and run in himself in a two-point conversion, it was a special performance by him and I mean, you make sure you appreciate that when you look back on this game.”"

As much as Watson and his teammates are celebrating, they’re doing so with grace.
