Draymond Green wasn’t going to stand for Charles Barkley’s take on the Warriors during the NBA All-Star Game, calling him out for writing off Golden State.

Draymond Green and Charles Barkley were both on the NBA All-Star Game broadcast. That doesn’t mean they were getting along.

Things got testy when Barkley gave his opinion about the Warriors prospects for the rest of the season. He thinks they’re “cooked.”

Draymond didn’t take that one lying down.

“That’s crazy. You said that last year, but we all know you don’t know what you’re talking about,” Green shot back.

Obviously, Green and the Warriors went on to win the championship last year with a squad that’s not so dissimilar to the one they have this year.

Warriors need to prove doubters like Charles Barkley wrong in the playoffs

The Warriors haven’t hit the ground running in the NBA title defense. They are 29-29 and ninth in the Western Conference at the All-Star break. To put that in perspective, they had 29 losses last season and went into the playoffs as the No. 3 seed.

Despite the regular-season standing, Golden State is not a team that should be written off. Not while Steph Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green are on the floor.

Curry’s current injury is a definite setback, but so long as they get into the playoffs literally anything could happen. A healthy Golden State is always going to be a dangerous team in the postseason.

They may not be as strong as they have been in previous seasons, but calling the Warriors “cooked” at this point feels like a reach.
