The Premier Hockey Federation’s regular season is coming to a close and the chase for the Isobel Cup is on.
The 2022-23 season marks the eighth year that the world’s No. 1 women’s hockey league, the Premier Hockey Federation (or PHF), has been in existence.
It’s been an incredible year for the sport as the Montreal Force were added as an expansion team, joining carryovers Boston Pride, Buffalo Beauts, Connecticut Whale, Metropolitan Riveters, Minnesota Whitecaps and Toronto Six.
The Six (16-4-2) and Pride (16-3-1) are the top two teams in the league as of right now and are both in line to receive first-round byes in the PHF Playoffs. These are the only two clubs to have been officially locked into the playoffs.
