World Baseball Classic live stream info for USA vs. Venezuela as the two loaded rosters clash in the quarterfinals with lineups, TV info and more.

Not without a little bit of drama in pool play for the World Baseball Classic, Team USA advanced to the quarterfinals with their win earlier in the week over Colombia. Now the American team is readying for a quarterfinal showdown on Saturday, March 18 against Jose Altuve, Ronald Acuña Jr. and a Venezuela roster that is both talented and playing extremely well.

Venezuela went 4-0 in pool play to advance into this matchup and won every game by at least three runs, also only allowing more than one run to Puerto Rico as well. They are clicking on all cylinders, the same of which can’t be said for the United States thus far in WBC play.

Though they’ve exploded at times — most notably with a 12-1 blowout of Canada — Team USA has been extremely hot-and-cold with Mike Trout saving them some drama against Colombia in the quarterfinal berth-clinching win on March 15. They’ll need the bats to not only come alive throughout the lineup, but also for the pitching staff to deliver a gem.

It’s now win-or-go-home time in the World Baseball Classic and USA will fight with Venezuela to stay alive and for the right to face Cuba in the semifinals. So let’s take a look at the lineups for each team before seeing how you can watch this huge quarterfinal showdown

USA lineup vs. Venezuela in World Baseball Classic quarterfinals

Here’s a look at the Team USA lineup for this game on Saturday.

This is a relatively common lineup that we’ve seen from the Americans in the WBC, for better or worse. It still seems strange to have Trea Turner batting ninth given his ability to hit for average and power, but it’s got them to this point, so who can totally argue? Lance Lynn being on the bump is crucial too. The White Sox hurler came up big with a five-inning outing in the win over Canada, a huge boost to the bullpen and pitching staff. He’ll need to deliver similarly on Saturday for the United States to advance.

Venezuela lineup vs. USA in World Baseball Classic quarterfinals

This is what the Team Venezuela lineup looks like for the matchup against the Americans.

It’s hard to find too many weak links in this lineup, which is perhaps best evidenced by someone with the talent of Acuña hitting fifth in the lineup. Moreover, Martin Perez starting on the mound could be crucial for the Venezuelans as well. He came up with a gem in the WBC opener for his team against the loaded Dominican Republic roster, throwing 3.1 innings while allowing just four hits and one run. They’ll be looking for more of that against the U.S.
