Andy Reid adds fuel to the locomotive that is the Odell Beckham Jr. to the Kansas City Chiefs hype train.

Just put Odell Beckham Jr. on Andy Reid’s Kansas City Chiefs and figure the rest of this out later.

With the Chiefs losing JuJu Smith-Schuster and Mecole Hardman to AFC East teams in their respective free agencies, Beckham could be a piece worth pursuing in the Kansas City receiving corps.

Although they are expecting big things out of Skyy Moore in year two out of Western Michigan, he is not a superstar like OBJ. After a year out of football, Beckham is ready to play.

Reid told Steve Wyche of NFL.com about his thoughts of Beckham possibly joining the Chiefs.

“Odell is a good football player. Yeah, he does a nice job. So, we’ll see how all that goes,” Reid said.

I mean, why say no when it feels so good to say yes? Put OBJ on the freaking Chiefs, baby!

Andy Reid is driving the Odell Beckham to Kansas City Chiefs hype train big time

Beckham may still be wanting top-of-the-market money, but that ain’t happening any more. He does have a Super Bowl ring and a few Pro Bowls to his name, but does Beckham want to be enshrined in Canton one day or not? I think it would serve him to align the final third of his illustrious career with the best quarterback possible, and that quarterback is Patrick Mahomes.

Look. Beckham would not have to be the No. 1 option in Kansas City, as this is tight end Travis Kelce’s receiving corps, and everybody else is just living in it. With Moore expected to do … more, Beckham could slot in very nicely with the Chiefs, even if they are making a change at offensive coordinator. Besides, who wouldn’t love to see OBJ and Matt Nagy get into a screaming match?!

Overall, Reid and the Chiefs do not have to do much recruitment in free agency; people know who they are and what they are about, which is winning at a prolific rate. If you want to come to a place where the AFC Championship Game is played annually as part of the Arrowhead Invitational, where do you sign up? This is one of the best run organizations in football, so go make it happen.

Ultimately, Beckham must choose wisely his re-entry point into the NFL. If he nails it, he will be a Pro Football Hall of Famer. Should he choose poorly, he will be his generation’s version of Andre Rison, an immensely talented player whose bright career went up in flames like kicks in a bathtub. Don’t go chasing waterfalls, only championships. Stick to the routes and the plays you’re used to.

Above all else, we know Reid doesn’t want no scrubs; those guys can’t get no love from Big Red.
