NBA Rumors: Kevin Durant doesn’t regret leaving Warriors

Kevin Durant left the Golden State Warriors for the Brooklyn Nets, and entrusted Kyrie Irving with part of his NBA legacy. It’s safe to say that decision failed in spectacular fashion, as Irving skipped nearly a full season and the Nets superteam never really materialized.

Now with the Phoenix Suns, Durant claims he has no regrets about leaving the Dubs despite the fact they won an NBA title without him.

“Hell, no,” Durant said, per FOX Sports. “I don’t regret anything I do. I don’t regret my time in the league because I feel like I maximize every day as a player. I feel like I get the most out of myself every time I step on the floor.”

Durant has another chance at an NBA title, this time with the Suns. Phoenix finished the season as the No. 3 seed in what’s truly become a toss-up of a conference. The Suns are among the favorites to make a fun to the Finals.

“So, it’s like regardless of the results and the wins and losses, I can live with that part of it. I would never say anything I do is a failure. We could lose 82 games in a season, but if I come to work and every rep is done with intention and with force, every rep I can live with,” Durant continued.

There’s a chance — albeit a slim one — that Phoenix and Golden State could match up this postseason. If Durant hates the narratives now, just imagine how bad it would be then.
