Michigan. player. OT. Pick Analysis. Ryan Hayes. 6. 49. Scouting Report

Ryan Hayes can give the Packers another solid offensive lineman for depth

David Bakhtiari obviously wasn’t included in the Aaron Rodgers trade, as had been speculated upon. Even still, Green Bay has a need for depth on the offensive line given Bakhtiari’s recent injury history. Ryan Hayes isn’t a star by any stretch, but he was consistently solid for Michigan. He can be a nice depth piece that the Pack can feel fine with in spot starts.

Jake Bobo. player. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. WR. UCLA. 49. 7

Green Bay can add an asset to the WR room with a swing on Jake Bobo

Even after adding JSN in this NFL mock draft, that can’t be the only receiver Green Bay adds to the mix. This is an extremely thin position group that Jake Bobo would bring something to. Though the UCLA product is a bit slow, the 6-foot-4 target is a smooth route-runner and has nice contested-catch ability. His size and production in a less-than-prolific UCLA passing offense make him worth a shot in the seventh round.

BYU. Jaren Hall. 49. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. QB. 7. player

Jordan Love is going to need a backup and Jaren Hall looks the part

In the wake of the Aaron Rodgers trade, the under-discussed ripple effect is that Jordan Love now needs a backup. Danny Etling is under contract but that’s not something to feel confident in. As such, a flier on someone like Jaren Hall makes sense. The BYU product is undersized and older, but has a nice arm, solid athleticism and could be a comfortable option for the Packers if they have to turn to a backup quarterback in a pinch.

Desjuan Johnson. 7. 49. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. IDL. Toledo. player

Packers could benefit from the upside of Desjuan Johnson

Again going back to trying to beef up the defensive line depth for this team, Desjuan Johnson is the perfect type of flier. Another undersized player at just 273 pounds, Johnson was a stud for Toledo with eight sacks and 29 hurries from the interior in 2022 but somehow still being even better against the run. He’ll need to add some bulk and muscle to hold up in the NFL against improved competition but the tools are there for him to be an asset.

Kyle Patterson. 7. Scouting Report. TE. Air Force. player. 49. Pick Analysis

Green Bay can fill out its TE depth perfectly with Kyle Patterson

Again, even after adding Laporta, that still leaves just the Iowa product and Deguara as the confident tight end options on the roster. Someone like Kyle Patterson could really help to round out the depth. Playing in the triple-option attack, Patterson shined as a run-blocker. It’s honestly largely unknown what he offers in the way of pass-catching, but having that solid blocking role player on the roster is still valuable for the Packers.
