3 Best NBA Prop Bets Today for Clippers vs. Suns (LA's Interior Defense is Inferior to Phoenix)
By Matt De Saro
The Phoenix Suns have the best record in the NBA and the best record at home. They will face the visiting Clippers tonight in what could be a very long night for LA in the desert. Let’s take a look at some prop odds for this showdown, courtesy of WynnBET Sportsbook.
3 Best Prop Bets for Clippers vs. Suns
- Deandre Ayton OVER 0.5 Double Double (+120)
- Chris Paul OVER 26.5 Points + Assists (-115)
- Jae Crowder OVER 5.5 Rebounds (-104)
Deandre Ayton OVER 0.5 Double Double (+120)
This is a bit of a risky way to start off here but I think Ayton has a bit of a night against the Clippers. As far as his scoring totals, I am not worried here. He has scored in double-digits in all but one of his last seven games with the outlier being a 24 minute game against the Hawks at home. Over the course of those seven games, Ayton had two double-doubles and was one point away on two other occasions. One reason I like Ayton here is that the Clippers' defense is not great in the paint and ranks 23rd in limited opposing teams on the glass. With an average of 49.8 points per game in the paint and 54.7 total rebounds surrendered, there are a lot of stats to go around for Ayton to cash this prop.
Chris Paul OVER 26.5 Points + Assists (-115)
This is slightly higher than Paul’s usual total in this category but I am not going to be deterred by that. He routinely goes over those totals anyway and the Clippers are a rather average defense at best. They match up decently with Paul but the veteran rarely has off nights these days and I don’t see one happening tonight. He's gone over the total in his last three games in a row. Let’s roll the dice on number four.
Jae Crowder OVER 5.5 Rebounds (-104)
I believe that like Ayton, Crowder will be one of the main beneficiaries of the Clippers' lack of help down low. They are the 24th ranked team in limiting rebounds and Crowder has been very busy on the glass lately. Crowder has not gone under this total since Feb. 1 and has two double-digit rebounding games in his last four outings.
