We’re back with the best teams to bet the OVER on as we officially kick off the second half of the NFL season. There’s been some shakeups in the list, as teams have failed to score points over the last few weeks.

There is a team missing from this list, though. The Cleveland Browns are still the best team percentage-wise against the over, but they were on a bye this last week, so they’ll be eligible for the list next week.

With that said, here are the best teams to bet the over on through the first nine weeks.

Best NFL Teams to Bet the Over On (Ahead of Week 10)

Detroit Lions (5-3)

The Lions defense showed up for the first time all season, holding the Packers to just 9 points on Sunday. As the over is concerned, that could be something to watch out for.

The Lions’ offense hasn’t shown up in three of the last four games – which is the Lions’ over record as well. If the defense starts playing well and the offense falls off, this might be the last of the shootout Lions we’ve come to know.

Philadelphia Eagles (5-3)

The Eagles have started to play offense outside of the second quarter, which has helped their over betting tremendously. Philly has cleared the over in three straight games, despite holding their opponents to 15.3 points in that span.

Philadelphia is second in points per game and fourth in opponent points per game. Normally, that isn’t the recipe you’d want for over, but the Eagles are making it work. Yet, until the Eagles’ totals start to creep toward 50, they are a solid bet.

Chicago Bears (5-4)

The Bears have become a problem offensively, averaging over 30 points per game in their last three games. Chicago has hit the OVER in each of those games. Justin Fields in playing at a high level, and that has raised the floor of the offense.

It also doesn’t hurt that the defense has given up 45 and 35 points, respectively, in back to back games. Chicago’s formula to stay in games is to try and outscore their opponents, and that’s perfect for the OVER.
