The top contenders for the NBA title in the 2021-22 season are pretty much set, and I personally bet on the Milwaukee Bucks to win the NBA title following the All-Star break.

The Phoenix Suns, Golden State Warriors, Brooklyn Nets and Bucks are the top four teams in the latest odds, but there really aren’t many teams that oddsmakers think can win the title, as just five teams have odds shorter than +1200 at WynnBET

If you’re looking for a long shot team to bet to win the title, I have three teams that could be worth wagering on as we get ready for the mad dash to the NBA playoffs.

NBA Odds to Win Finals

  • Phoenix Suns: +400
  • Golden State Warriors: +450
  • Brooklyn Nets: +600
  • Milwaukee Bucks :+600
  • Philadelphia 76ers :+700
  • Miami Heat: +1200
  • Utah Jazz: +1200
  • Boston Celtics: +2500
  • Memphis Grizzlies: +2500
  • Chicago Bulls: +3000
  • Cleveland Cavaliers: +3000
  • Dallas Mavericks: +3000
  • Denver Nuggets: +3000

Chicago Bulls (+3000)

The Chicago Bulls have weathered a storm of injuries this season, and it’s possible they get all three of Lonzo Ball, Alex Caruso and Patrick Williams back by the postseason.

Despite the injuries, Chicago is the No. 2 seed in the Eastern Conference heading into the final stretch of the season and it has a legitimate MVP candidate in DeMar DeRozan.

The Bulls are still sixth in the odds among Eastern Conference teams, behind the Heat, Nets, Celtics, Nets and Bucks.

I think the right matchup in the first round could propel the Bulls on a run, and I think they are a value considering their current standing in the conference.

Denver Nuggets (+3000)

This is definitely a long shot, as the Nuggets are the No. 6 seed in the West as we get ready to come out of the All-Star break, but this could be a play on Jamal Murray and Michael Porter Jr. returning to flank Nikola Jokic by the postseason.

The Nuggets have the eight easiest schedule left this season, and they could make a move in the standings to grab home court in the first round.

If Murray and MPJ return, you could make the argument that Denver is the third best team in the West, as the last time they both were in the lineup the Nuggets made the Western Conference Finals.

I trust Jokic to keep this team out of the play-in, and I wouldn't’ be surprised if they won a first-round series even if Murray and MPJ don’t return.

Memphis Grizzlies (+2500)

The Memphis Grizzlies remind me a lot of last year’s Atlanta Hawks team, as they are a young and up-and-coming roster led by an electric young guard in Ja Morant.

The Grizzlies have a chance to take advantage of the Warriors being without Draymond Green and the Suns without Chris Paul to make a move in the Western Conference standings, but even now they sit at the No. 3 spot.

The West is top heavy, but I don’t think people are giving the Grizzlies credit as the third best team in the West.
