A big game calls for player props.

Penn State takes their undefeated record to Ann Arbor to face a fellow undefeated Big Ten squad in Michigan in a game with massive conference championship consequences. How should we attack the player prop market, available at FanDuel Sportsbook? We got you covered:

Best Player Props for Penn State vs. Michigan

  • J.J. McCarthy OVER 225.5 Passing yards (-114)
  • Sean Clifford OVER 0.5 Interception Thrown (-150)
  • Mitchell Tinsley OVER 43.5 Receiving Yards (-114)

J.J. McCarthy OVER 225.5 Passing yards (-114)

The Wolverines haven't been challenged all that much just yet, and it's led to depressed stat lines from the dynamic quarterback. However, after a few bad bounces in the first half, Michigan let McCarthy spin it, and he showed why he won the starting job over Cade McNamara, completing 15-of-17 passes for 175 yards.

Against Penn State, McCarthy will face the toughest defense to date, but he is more than capable of making them pay, so I'll go over this low total.

Sean Clifford OVER 0.5 Interception Thrown (-150)

Clifford has thrown 26 INT's in his four years as a starter, and I think he is in for a stiff challenge against a stout Michigan secondary. Much has been made about the Wolverines schedule and how easy it's been, but Penn state has also faced soft secondary's and has built up a +6 turnover margin (13th nationally).

Regression could be looming for PSU, and on the road we have seen Clifford struggle with turnovers and erratic play during his long career. I'll bank on a interception coming.

Mitchell Tinsley OVER 43.5 Receiving Yards (-114)

The Western Kentucky transfer has been a key cog to the Penn State offense to date and I expect him to see a heavy dose of targets in a negative game script on the road.

Outside of a rainy game against Northwestern two weeks ago that depressed all stats, Tinsley has cleared this number in three of four games. He is averaging 11 yards per catch on the year and I'll take him to get his season quota.
