Best MLB Prop Bets Today
- Dallas Keuchel UNDER 2.5 Strikeouts (-140)
- Corbin Burnes OVER 6.5 Strikeouts (-135)
- Robbie Ray UNDER 6.5 K's (+115)
Dallas Keuchel UNDER 2.5 Strikeouts (-140)
This prop comes with a lot of juice and not a lot of margin for error, but the Mariners are one of the hardest teams to strike out in baseball. They are tied for the seventh-fewest strikeouts in the league. On top of that, Keuchel hit the under on this prop in nearly half of his starts last season. He had a fantastic 2020, but then took a significant dip. Keuchel isn’t the ace he used to be and Seattle will make him pay. – Donnavan Smoot
Corbin Burnes OVER 6.5 Strikeouts (-135)
This may seem like a high number so early in the season, especially since Corbin Burnes threw just 83 pitches in his first start, but I think he punches out several Baltimore Orioles hitters on Wednesday night.
The Orioles lead Major League Baseball in strikeouts per game this season at 11.6, and Burnes is one of the best strikeout pitchers in the business. Last season, Burnes led the league in strikeouts per nine innings, strikeouts per walk and ended up punching out an insane 234 batters in 167 innings.
He’s going to dominate the lowly Orioles tonight. – Peter Dewey
Corbin Burnes OVER 6.5 Strikeouts (-135)
Last year's NL Cy Young winner got off to a tough start on Opening Day vs. the Cubs, and looks to redeem himself against the worst roster in the league in Baltimore.
So far, the Orioles lead the Majors in strikeout rate via Fangraphs at 30.9%. In his Cy Young season, Burnes averaged a K-rate of 35.6%!
Even a high total like 6.5 is a very attainable one against this Orioles lineup. – Ben Heisler
Robbie Ray UNDER 6.5 K's (+115)
It's not pretty but I like fading Ray against the vaunted White Sox lineup that mashes lefties. Chicago was top 10 in batting average against southpaws last season and the small sample size this season shows similar returns (2nd in the league vs. lefties in 37 at bats). Ray is a power pitcher but I believe the White Sox can put the ball in play and potentially chase Ray from this game all together.
He did go over 6 K's in nearly 60% of his games last season, but I think this is just taking the average and not factoring in that the White Sox are strong against left handed pitching. If you are into a small sample size too, Ray struck out 5 against the Twins in 7 innings in his first start of the season. – Reed Wallach
