NBA fans, buckle up, because we have a doozy of a Thursday night slate to go through on Jan. 12!

There are plenty of great star matchups, starting with the Philadelphia 76ers and Joel Embiid taking on Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and the Oklahoma City Thunder. OKC has been elite as an underdog this season, and the team is getting 10 points against the surging Sixers tonight.

We also have an Eastern Conference playoff rematch, with the Boston Celtics traveling to play the Brooklyn Nets. This is the second game of a back-to-back for Boston, but the Nets won't have Kevin Durant because of a knee injury.

Kyrie Irving will lead the Nets, and he's looking to keep Brooklyn in the conversation for the No. 1 seed in the conference with Boston.

Sticking in the East, Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks face off with Jimmy Butler and the Miami Heat, who are coming off a perfect 40-fof-40 game at the free-throw line.

The Heat should have Bam Adebayo (wrist, probable) back in the lineup tonight, which should make for a fun battle with Giannis down low.

Can this slate get any better?

It actually can.

The NBA is closing us out with LeBron James and Luka Doncic going head-to-head in primetime. I'm going to grab some popcorn, make some bets and enjoy what should be a terrific scoring spectacle.

If any of these games interest you (I'd hope so if you're a basketball fan), why not join in on the action and place some wagers?
