Here are the plays our team is eyeing for tonight’s slate with all odds via WynnBET:
Best NBA Prop Bets Today
- Julius Randle UNDER 21.5 Points (-125)
- Fred VanVleet UNDER 20.5 Points -125
- Scottie Barnes OVER 7.5 Rebounds (+110)
- Steph Curry UNDER 1.5 3-Pointers Made in 1st Quarter (+175)
Warriors vs. Knicks: Julius Randle UNDER 21.5 Points (-125)
Randle has missed this line in the last four games and is now going against the best defensive team in the league. He's been inconsistent from the field and has struggled shooting the ball this year. He's shooting a career low from the field and is shooting nearly 10% worse from three than last year. While Randle needs to play better, the lack of offensive weapons on the Knicks also limits how many easy baskets Randle can get. Either way, it's a recipe for a low scoring game. -- Donnavan Smoot
Raptors vs. Nets: Fred VanVleet UNDER 20.5 Points (-125)
Fred VanVleet is averaging 19.4 points per game this season, but now he and the Raptors have to take on one of the best shooting defenses in the NBA in the Brooklyn Nets. Ahead of tonight's matchup, the Nets rank second in the NBA in opponent shooting percentage, keeping teams to shooting 42.8% from the field. VanVleet has also been in a slump with his shooting as of late. He's only reached 20 points once in the past six games, and has failed to shoot better than 33% from the field in three of his last four starts. -- Iain MacMillan
Raptors vs. Nets: Scottie Barnes OVER 7.5 Rebounds (+110)
The Nets are going to be short handed with several key rotation pieces out like LaMarcus Aldridge, De'Andre Bembry and James Johnson. The team is going to be left with two true big men that have seen times this year in Blake Griffin and Nicolas Claxton, leaving a shortage of rebounders on the floor, pointing me in the direction of this prop.
Barnes has seven or more rebounds in eight of 10 games, and with limited bigs on the floor I'll bank on some positive variance to get over this number at a cheap price. -- Reed Wallach
Warriors vs. Knicks: Steph Curry UNDER 1.5 3-Pointers Made in 1st Quarter (+175)
Earlier this morning, I set odds for which quarter Steph Curry will gain the all-time 3-pointer lead in NBA history. While he just needs two to go, I think there's sneaky value on any time after the first quarter just because it seems so obvious.
But let's look a little closer at the numbers.
Curry this season has averaged 5.38 3-pointers-per-game. In his career vs. the Knicks, a team allowing the 6th-fewest made shots from downtown this season, he's averaged just 4.8 made 3's. Both of those add up to him making his second 3-pointer of the night in the second quarter purely based off the math.
Steve Kerr has already discussed the record weighing on his star guard, so rather than have him force up shots early, let Curry get into the flow of the game and start cooking as of late.
Also, if you believe any NBA conspiracy theories, the executives at TNT would be THRILLED if he delays the record for as long as humanly possible to get eyeballs on the screen. I'm not going there, but I'll go with the value play on +175 after the 1st quarter instead. -- Ben Heisler
