The Colorado Avalanche, who were the preseason favorites to win the Stanley Cup, are beginning to turn things around after getting off to a slow start to the season. They’ve now won two straight games ahead of tonight’s matchup with the Columbus Blue Jackets.

The Blue Jackets enter the game with a 5-3 record, coming off an overtime win against the New Jersey Devils on October 31st.

Despite the slow start, the Avalanche remain betting favorites at WynnBET to win the Stanley Cup at +550 (bet $100 to profit $550).

Here’s a look at the odds for tonight’s interconference game courtesy of WynnBET Sportsbook.

Blue Jackets vs. Avalanche Odds and Total

Moneyline:

  • Blue Jackets +150
  • Avalanche -165

Puck line:

  • Blue Jackets +1.5 (-160)
  • Avalanche -1.5 (+140)

Total:

  • 5.5 (Over -120/Under +100)

Blue Jackets vs. Avalanche Prediction and Pick

The Avs are starting to turn their season around, and the Blue Jackets should feel happy that they currently hold a winning record. Columbus ranks 28th in CORSI%, 27th in high danger scoring chances, and 24th in high danger scoring chances against.

We’re getting some extra value on Colorado in this game due to backup goalie Jonas Johansson getting the start. Johansson allowed three goals in a loss to the Florida Panthers in his only start of the season so far, but I expect a bounce back performance from him against a dull Blue Jackets offense.

The Avalanche are set up to win big tonight at home against a Columbus team that’s due for regression.

Pick: Avalanche -1.5 (+140)
