I don’t know if Brian Daboll has a sister, but she had to pucker up after his New York Giants tied the Commanders, 20-20 in Week 13. New York is holding on to their playoff spot for dear life at 7-4-1 while the top of their division is just steamrolling teams.

The Philadelphia Eagles are 11-1 after trampling the Titans 35-10 last week. Washington stole one from Philly earlier this year, so maybe New York can do the same as the NFC East still has all 4 teams in playoff position entering Week 14.

The NFC East could be the best division in football and we’ve got a lot of rivalry games down the stretch that will soft out the NFC playoff picture.

Eagles vs. Giants Prediction and Pick

The Eagles have had a soft schedule and that’s a big part of their 11-1 record, but when they’ve played good teams, they’ve pounded them. They have a 24-7 win against the 10-2 Vikings, a 26-17 win over Dallas, and their recent 35-10 dominance against the Titans. Those games weren’t even as close as the score would indicate. Philly is excellent at running the ball, but against Tennessee Jalen Hurts carried them with his arm. He went 29/39 for 380 yards and three touchdowns, two of those TDs were bombs to AJ Brown.

Hurts won’t have to throw the ball like that against New York, the Giants allow 5.1 yards per carry which is third worst in the NFL and actually worse than Green Bay, who Philly gashed for 363 rushing yards. Hurts is putting together a very real MVP case and he can absolutely add to it this week. The Giants don't have any corners to deal with AJ Brown or Devonta Smith and they won't be able to stop Hurts from running wild. He showed the legs two weeks ago and the arm in Week 13, this could be the complete package of dominance against New York.

I don’t see how the Giants will score on Philly’s defense. The Eagles held Derrick Henry to 30 yards on 11 carries last week and Saquon Barkley hasn’t looked dynamic since Week 11 against Houston. Oh and run defense is supposed to be this team’s weakness, they’re best in the league against the pass. The Eagles are an NFC juggernaut and maybe the Giants are good at 7-4-1, but I'd argue they're not.

Pick: Eagles -6.5 (-115)
