Guardians vs. Tigers Game 2 Prediction and Pick

Miguel Cabrera carries a 10-game hit streak into Game 2 of the doubleheader and as of the first inning of Game 1 in Detroit, he has tied Manny Ramirez for 19th on the all-time RBI list. Miggy has still put together a pretty good season at 39 years old. He has seven home runs and a .704 OPS in the middle of the Tiger’s order.

Thought it is a different Ramirez who is the story for this series. Jose Ramirez. Ramirez has a .966 OPS, a career best OPS+ of 174, 16 home runs and 63 RBI. Cabrera is the leader in RBI for the Tigers at 26.

The Tigers offense is lifeless, one of the worst in the MLB. It appears Cal Quantrill is going to take the hill for the Guardians in Game 2. Quantrill has a 3.72 ERA in 14 starts and should have a good chance to shut down Detroit.

The Tigers have yet to announce a starter for Game 2, so we might assume it will be a bullpen game. Detroit ranks 22nd in bullpen ERA with a 4.50.

Pick: Guardians -123
