Jazz vs. Grizzlies Prediction and Odds (Take the Over with a Discounted Total)
By Ben Heisler
Ja Morant cannot be stopped.
The third-year point Memphis Grizzlies point guard has seen his MVP status rise considerably over the last month-plus, averaging 27.5 points, 7 assists and 6.3 rebounds since his return from a knee sprain on December 20th.
Meanwhile, the Grizzlies have won 14 of their last 17 and welcome the struggling Utah Jazz, losers of nine of their last 11, to town Friday evening.
Here's how the oddsmakers see this matchup with the latest lines and total over at WynnBET Sportsbook:
Jazz vs. Grizzlies Odds, Spread and Total
Spread:
- Jazz -4 (-110)
- Grizzlies -4 (-110)
Moneyline:
- Jazz +150
- Grizzlies -180
Total:
- 227 (OVER -110 | UNDER -110)
Jazz vs. Grizzlies Prediction and Pick
I like the Grizzlies to win, and the -4 spread feels like an easy number to climb, but the line feels a bit like a trap.
Utah has played terrible as of late, but in the midst of their free fall, have started to possibly right the ship.
In their loss Wednesday night to the Suns, they rallied back from 21 points down but ran out of gas in the final two minutes.
The Jazz may also get Donavan Mitchell back tonight from missing the last five games with a concussion.
Instead, I'll focus on the discounted total, which has moved up to between 228 and 228.5 consensus, but still remains available at WynnBET for 227.
Utah, despite their struggles still leads the league in effective field goal percentage, while matching up vs. a Grizzlies team that rank sixth in points-per-game and 7th in pace. Utah also ranks in the bottom third of the league in defensive rating for the month of January.
This matchup screams back and forth with plenty of points, leading me to pounce on the great deal for the OVER at WynnBET.
LEAN: OVER 227 (-110)
